Covid-19: our response
Whilst we cannot gather for worship services or Brunch at present, we are recording a weekly video message and uploading it to our web site for 10:30am each Sunday. We are doing likewise with a midweek exhortation at 6:00pm each Wednesday.
All midweek activities at our base in Village Road are postponed until further notice. These include Alpha, pre-school groups, Martha's Place, youth events, art groups and Contact Ministry. Please visit this website regularly for further updates.
This web site will keep information on Church life up to date, albeit in an all new season! We shall also continue to produce the Weekly Bulletin to share the latest information and news which will be emailed and available on this site in the usual way.
Telephone calls and emails to the Church Office will be picked up during weekdays so do make contact as normal. However, please bear in mind that staff may need to work remotely in response to Government advice.
Following the Government's directions that small group gatherings should not happen, we have advised all our small group leaders to follow these guidelines. All small groups should not physically meet at this time but may use technology such as WhatsApp or Zoom to maintain group communication, perhaps using the video links to have online meetings.
Support for our Church and Community
As Church we should continue to care for and support those who are around us in our community. We will especially be seeking to care for and support those who are at risk through age and underlying health conditions, or who are vulnerable because of their current life circumstances. We are aware that those over 70 years of age are particularly being called to self-isolate by Government.
We have been in touch with those known to us in these groups. If you are in these groups and have not been contacted, please let the Church Office know.
What are we asking Church to do?
Please continue to be faithful in prayer; continue to be faithful in your love and devotion to Jesus and in serving the needs of others; continue to give financially into the Church so we can continue to do what we are called to do.
If you normally give into the weekly offering taken up during worship services, you can continue to give here.
Let us use this unprecedented time to speak well and often of Jesus Christ so that many may come to know Him as their Lord and Saviour in these challenging times.
God is with us all:
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
